Cycle Tour’s an Adventure Down Under
Cycling fans all over the world will dash to South Australia this January for the Tour Down Under, and Australian tour company The Adventure Collective makes it even more tempting to get up close to the action.
As Australia’s premier active adventure specialist, The Adventure Collective offers a wealth of experience through leading cycle tours across Australia, to ensure all clients have a memorable experience at the 2009 Tour Down Under.
Having had a strong involvement with the race since its inception, Managing Director of The Adventure Collective, Mr Peter Solly, is passionate about sharing his inside knowledge of the Tour and his local South Australia.
Packages with The Adventure Collective include seven nights’ accommodation, souvenir cycle jersey, entry to ride the same course as the professional racers in the Mutual Community Challenge Tour, and the chance to win more than $2500 worth of prizes offered by Avanti Bicycle Company, Australasia’s premier cycling manufacturer and distributor. Participants will also have the option to join the exclusive Club Tour, where members experience up-close trackside viewing of the race on selected stages, as well as a ticket to the Tour’s gala event, the ‘Legend’s Night Dinner’.
Kerrie Cole from Wellington, NZ, joined The Adventure Collective’s Tour Down Under package in January 2008. “It really was the trip of a lifetime,” Ms Cole enthused. “They [The Adventure Collective] even helped me meet my cycling idol, Robbie McEwen. I had such a great week!”
2009 will see the company team up with Australasia’s leading bicycle retail group, Avantiplus, to bring cycling fans the ultimate Tour Down Under experience, including the chance to win thousands of dollars worth of prizes.
As a nationally accredited tour operator, The Adventure Collective also offers a range of great pre- and post-event touring opportunities, including Kangaroo Island and the Great Ocean Road, so visitors can make the most of their time Down Under.
